La ReCiF has an archiving system through OJS (Open Journal Systems) that ensures the digital preservation of the journal.

In addition, the journal assigns a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), a persistent identifier managed by Crossref that ensures the persistent identification of published content and prevents access and location problems resulting from URL changes or similar circumstances.

PKP Preservation Network (PN)

The PKP Preservation Network (PN) provides free digital preservation services for OJS journals that meet its basic eligibility criteria. In this regard, for digital preservation purposes, ReCiF articles are archived through LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), ensuring a permanent and secure archive of the journal's content.

LOCKSS

Open Journal Systems, the platform on which ReCiF is hosted, is compatible with the LOCKSS system, which ensures a permanent and secure archive of the journal. LOCKSS is open-source software developed by the Stanford University Library that enables libraries to preserve selected web-based journals by regularly checking registered journal websites for newly published content and archiving it. Each archived copy is continuously validated against copies held by other libraries, allowing damaged or lost content to be restored using those copies or the journal itself.

CLOCKSS

Open Journal Systems also supports the CLOCKSS system (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), which ensures a permanent and secure archive of the journal. CLOCKSS is based on the open-source LOCKSS software developed by the Stanford University Library. It enables libraries to preserve selected web-based journals by regularly checking registered journal websites for newly published content and archiving it. Each archived copy is continuously validated against copies held in other library caches. If content is corrupted or lost, it can be restored using the other archived copies or the journal itself.
